We had a wonderful Christmas with my family in Grants Pass. We decided to let Daisy open her gifts on Christmas Eve, and she had such a blast! She tore into the paper like it was second nature. I never realized how fun Christmas with kids can be.
Have a Happy New Year!

Halloween!
Finally, I've posted Daisy's Halloween pics. A good friend and I took the babies to our church's harvest party. We both had them on leashes to keep better track of them amongst all the people! Daisy really enjoyed the petting zoo. She kept running up to the goats saying, "Puppy! Puppy!"

Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
Watch and be amazed. Video was taken a few days ago.
She can also point to her nose now. And she can do her toes, I guess on the video she was just being shy. :0) Her new words are "shoe" and "no". So her running list is, mama, dada, mommy, daddy, hi, bye bye, cat, kitty, puppy, no, shoe, nana (banana), and uh-oh. I'm sure I've forgotten a few. She's amazing us more and more every day.

Wedding Bells!
Whew! The family just got back from an exciting week in Eugene, Oregon! My dear friend from high school, Em, got married to a wonderful man. It was truly a match made in heaven. These two are so perfect for each other! Daisy and I spent the whole week in Eugene with friends helping Em get ready for the wedding. It was exhausting but so fun! Daisy behaved so well. Another good friend, Dandi, was there with her little daughter as well, so Daisy and her played all week long.
Daisy even picked up a new word while in Eugene. "Uh-oh." Enjoy the pictures!

Deeeeeep Sleeeeeeep
Today we went to lunch with friends after church, and Daisy fell asleep in the car on the way home. Daisy is usually a pretty light sleeper, but when we got her out of the car today, she didn't wake up. It was her nap time anyway, but her diaper was stinky so we needed to change it before putting her in her crib. Daddy changed her diaper, but still she stayed fast asleep! Then, I picked her up off the floor and walked her to her crib. I lay her down in her crib and she slept right through it! She must have been really tired! I had to get a video of this. Enjoy watching the little angel sleep.
New words:
"Boo" as in Peek-a-Boo
"T-t-t" means please. Don't ask me why, but it's true. lol...
"Ti-too" means tickle. She LOVES being tickled!

I love BOWS!
I have recently discovered the wonderful world of bow making. It's simpler than I ever imagined! It all started when Daisy's hair got long enough for little bows. I'd buy them at Fred Meyer or Wal Mart and they'd be way overpriced. I was thinking, "Five bucks for a few clips covered with ribbon?" Well, it turns out my awesome friend Stephanie was thinking the same thing. So, we got some ribbon and clippies, some hot glue, and spent a night making bows! It was so fun, and so simple! Check out the few I've made so far...

Tu Tu Cute!!!
I made this tu-tu for Daisy. It's a little big, but she'll grow into it! She's already a little ballerina princess.
Toby said that D said "puppy" this morning. Another word to add to the list! We're working on "Thank-you" right now, and she's trying really hard! I'll let you all know when she gets it. LOVE YOU!

Wee Squeak!
Daisy got some awesome new shoes for her first birthday. They're called Wee Squeaks, because they have a little squeaker in the heel. Every step that Daisy takes in these shoes sounds off a cute little "squeak!" I love them, and she loves them even more! If Daisy sees them lying on the ground, she even tries to put them on herself! We've taken her out in them many times already. We've gotten a few weird looks, but for the most part everyone thinks they're adorable! And what better way to keep track of your kid than to have them wear squeaky shoes! Thanks Thea!!

BABY!!!
Daisy says "baby." How cute is that? She started about a week ago...I was at a church function with a friend of mine who has a baby, and Daisy said "baby." At least, I thought she did. So I said "baby" to her, and she said back to me, "baby!" Now she says it all the time. It's her new favorite word. She is so cute.

Birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY!!! Daisy's first birthday was on May 25. We had a little party for her on the 29th, and we were so blessed to have both sets of grand parents in attendance! Daisy was the star of the party, as it should be. She loved all the attention she received. She loved the hugs, the kisses, the new toys...but most of all, she loved her birthday cupcake! Thank you to all of you for sending Daisy cards and gifts. We are soooo blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!

Las Vegas and First Foods
Toby and I got back from a weekend trip to Vegas last weekend. My good friend Quinn got married, and I was in the wedding. It was really a beautiful wedding, and Vegas was nice and sunny. The only problem was Toby was sick the whole weekend! He's all better now though. :0) Daisy stayed with her grandparents in Grants Pass, and she was very good for them. They were scared to have a baby for a whole weekend, but she's alive and well and so are they so I guess the weekend was a success! I am blessed to have such wonderful parents! Thank you mom and dad!!!
Daisy news: She's still timid to walk too much. I thought she'd be up and running by now, but I've come to realize with kids you just never know! She is trying to say "thank-you" and "duckie." She still says "cat" and "hi" constantly!

Happy Eleven Monther, Daisy!
Daisy is officially eleven months old as of yesterday. One more month and she'll be the big O-N-E! Woo hoo! Daisy has kind of backed off on walking...she is taking it one step at a time. haha... She still takes steps here and there, but for the most part she seems content to keep crawling at this point. Her new words are "nana" for banana, and "hi." She says "hi" to everyone and everything. She is also making the connection between plugs and wall sockets, so we need to make sure we get those all plugged up so she doesn't shock herself! God Bless you everyone!

One Big Girl!!!!
Daisy's walking! Can you believe it? She took her first step three nights ago. I was at work (of course), but her daddy got to share the special moment with her. I have seen her walk since, so I'm alright. :0) She knows she's doing something special, cause when she takes a few steps then falls, she claps her hands. It's too cute. I'll get it on video soon!
Don't forget, Daisy turns one in a little over a month! May 25. She says she wants a pony. hehe.

A Few New Photos
Hi family and friends!
Good news! The camera was found! It was hiding under the front seat of my car. What a nasty bugger... Anyway, here are just a few new pictures of Daisy (per my mom's request). And there's some big news! Daisy said her first word besides "dada" and "mama," and can you guess what it was?? "CAT!" What a smart girl we have. God Bless you until next time!

REWARD: Missing Camera
Our camera is lost! I have no idea where it could be. I don't remember the last time I used it, or where I last saw it. So, until we find that rascal, there will be no new updates! So let's hope we find it soon!

Tiny Dancer
Daisy's new thing is "dancing." She shakes her head back and forth when she hears music or just when she sees someone else do it. It's so adorable! Here's her first dance with daddy.
Guess who's Getting TEETH!?
Daisy is! Her first two bottom teeth are finally going to pop through. Yesterday I noticed that I can see a little bit of white peeking through her gums. It's exciting, but also a little sad. It's becoming a reality to me that my little baby is not going to stay a baby forever.

Chicken and Stars
Daisy eats almost every baby food we give her. Her favorites are sweet potatoes, green beans, bananas and rice, and mixed veggies. But when we fed her Chicken and Stars for the first time, she thought it was so gross and made the funniest face ever! We had to get it on camera.
